It did not go beyond merely recommending to stay home, had no school or workspace closures, and had no masking policies at all. Nevertheless, it seems to have been enough to eliminate flu to the same extent as it happened in Canada and many other countries. If any molecule from SARS-CoV-2 virus is good for declaring the infection, then, with enough PCR cycles, such molecule can be detected, and the test will have very low false-positive rate (for finding that molecule). If, however, the goal is to detect viral culture in loads sufficient to evoke symptoms and transmissibility, then the same vigor of running tests would yield very high number of false-positives by finding harmless molecules where there is no functional virus present at all.\\n<ul>\\n<li>Current vigor (cycles or CT) used in PCR labs is quite high (35-45 in NA and 30-40 in EU). The reason for that is \\\"to err on the side of caution\\\" and not miss the virus (have a low rate of false negatives).
